1. Information We Collect

We do not collect any personal information. Quran Companion operates entirely on your device with no user accounts, no analytics, no tracking, and no advertisements.

2. Location Data

The app requests access to your device's location for two features:

• Prayer Times — Your coordinates are used to calculate accurate prayer times based on your geographic position.
• Qibla Compass — Your location is used to compute the direction toward Makkah.

Your location data is:

• Processed entirely on your device
• Never transmitted to any server or third party
• Never stored permanently — it is only held in memory while the app is active

3. Notification Permission

The app requests notification permission to send local prayer time reminders. These notifications are generated and scheduled entirely on your device. No data is sent to any external push notification service.

4. Camera Permission

Camera access may be requested for the Qibla compass augmented reality feature. Camera data is used in real-time only and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted.

5. Data Storage

All app data — including your reading progress, bookmarks, memorization tracking, and preferences — is stored locally on your device using standard browser storage mechanisms. This data:

• Is never uploaded to any server
• Is never shared with any third party
• Is deleted when you uninstall the app

6. Third-Party Services

Quran Companion uses the following external API solely for Quran content:

• Quran.com API — to fetch Surah data and audio recitations. Only anonymous, non-personal HTTP requests are made. No user data is sent.

We do not use any analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or social media SDKs.

7. Children's Privacy

Quran Companion does not knowingly collect any information from children. The app contains no user-generated content, no social features, and no data collection mechanisms.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
